Eclectic Melbourne Home

I was dipping into the great archive of the Design Files blog and discovered this amazing eclectic home in Melbourne. It belongs to the owners behind the clothing label Alpha60, Alex and Georgie Cleary. It is no secret that my dream home is a converted industrial building like this. And I love their collection of beautiful, personal and some weird object (like the feet). My favorite architect details got to be the entrance with the bicycles on the brick wall, concrete kitchen bench that was poured on site and the door from the shower. Nice to get some fresh air in!

IDEAS TO STEAL FROM THIS HOME

1. Collect the things you love and display them. It will make your home unique and personal!

2. Why not let the stairs take up more space and also become shelf and seating?

3. Who would not love to have a bathroom where you can open the door to the outdoors!
